We are a family owned and ran company which originated back in the 1960’s with just 12 hens producing eggs for local residents. In 1966 the business was established by my parents Eddie and Pauline Kell under the ‘Eggy Shell’ trademark.
As the business grew so did the hens with an average of over 6,000 hens producing eggs for the local shops and catering businesses. Alongside this they had a wholesale fruit and vegetable business supplying shops, takeaways and even the prisons in county durham with fresh produce and also two shops retailing in the area.
I have used Consett store since it opened and it’s improving each year, they always have lots of stock in ! Excellent store, Excellent staff but most of all EXCELLENT PRICES!
I always find the staff super helpful at Consett Feed Warehouse and their knowledge is second to none. Excellent value for money too – super place. I often pop in with my dog to have her weighed free of charge.
I visited the Browney store this afternoon for the first time and will definitely be back. The two girls that were working made a fuss of my puppy (made my pups day) and were very friendly. I could have spent hours and lots of money in there as it was very well stocked. Here’s hoping my puppy enjoys their raw food, as I can’t wait to go back!
Great place I go for my horses feed bedding etc and for my dogs cats and bunnies too the prices are fab and the range of products is brilliant staff are lovely – I always get alot every month and staff are so helpful loading everything in my car with me thankyou.
